Durban as well as the rest of KwaZulu-Natal is renouned for its hospitality and accommodation facilities. With world class hotels lining the famous Golden Mile, guest houses, bed and breakfasts as well as backpacker lodgings, the tourist is spoilt for choice.
With this in mind, the administrators of the site has seen the need to put together a section called: The Bed & Breakfast Club which will have tips and advice on what to look for and what to expect in a guest house or a hotel.
The Bed & Breakfast industry forms a vital part of our accommodation as a more personal service to a tourist or a business traveller. Durban and surrounds hold a particularly high standard in this regard.
Having grown up in Durban, the author of this site is naturally biased toward the area, with its extended summers, consistently temperate climate, dazzling sunrises over the Indian Ocean, immaculate beaches, and abundance of well kept city gardens such as the Botanical Gardens, Mitchell Park, the Japanese Gardens, and Jameson Park. With an array of sophisticated shopping malls such as Gateway, The Pavilion, Galleria in Amanzintoti, Musgrave centre, world class hotels, and friendly people, there is not much to dislike about

The lead up to the 2010 FIFA World Cup saw vast improvements being made to infrastructure in Durban, including extensive upgrades on the city’s network of roads, the complete overhaul of the Beachfront promenade, and the building of Umhlanga’s spectacular pier, which was designed in part by the Engineering department at Durban University of Technology. The new King Shaka airport, which has been in the pipeline since the 1960’s, is now open and fully operational, allowing the world’s largest passenger aircraft, the A380, to bring tourists, businesspeople and locals directly to this fantastic city.
